The 2026 China International Consumer Electronics Exposition (CICE 2026) opened in Qingdao on September 4, bringing together more than 300 companies from 12 countries and regions to showcase developments in artificial intelligence, smart homes, digital healthcare and intelligent mobility.
Running from September 4–6, 2026, the exhibition occupies 60,000 square metres at the Qingdao International Convention Center’s Hongdao Hall. More than 20 supporting activities—including industry forums, product launches and business-matching sessions—are scheduled during the three-day event.
Under the theme “AI Leads, Future Succeeds,” CICE 2026 presents consumer electronics as an increasingly connected ecosystem spanning chips, computing infrastructure, AI models, intelligent devices and real-world applications.
Six exhibition zones cover emerging consumer technologies
The official CICE exhibition plan divides the show floor into six thematic areas:
- Smart Home Ecosystem
- Smart Displays and Digital Audiovisual Technology
- AI Models and Intelligent Computing Terminals
- Smart Mobility and Digital Entertainment
- Digital Connectivity and Smart Healthcare
- Intelligent Appliance Manufacturing and Digital Ecosystems
This structure gives trade visitors access to both finished consumer products and the technologies supporting them. Exhibits range from connected home appliances, displays and entertainment systems to computing hardware, artificial intelligence applications, healthcare devices and intelligent vehicles.
The official event preview says the exhibitor line-up includes 18 Fortune Global 500 or major Chinese enterprises, 12 unicorn companies, more than 40 industry-leading companies, over 50 specialized and innovative enterprises, and more than 120 high-technology companies.
Participating brands include Haier, Hisense, Aucma, Huawei, Xiaomi, Panasonic, Canon, DJI and Unitree Robotics, alongside emerging developers of AI terminals, robotics and smart-health technologies.
AI moves from infrastructure to consumer applications
Artificial intelligence is the central theme of this year’s exposition. The show links computing infrastructure and large AI models with practical products for homes, healthcare, mobility and entertainment.
In the smart-home segment, exhibitors are demonstrating the progression from individually connected appliances to integrated systems capable of sensing conditions and responding proactively. Products include AI-enabled appliances, domestic robots and whole-home connectivity solutions.
The artificial-intelligence exhibits cover embodied robots, voice models, intelligent interaction systems and computing terminals. Robotics companies including Unitree, Leju Robot and AgiBot are presenting technologies designed for operation in physical environments, while software and speech-technology companies are demonstrating AI models and interactive applications.
Low-altitude technologies and virtual-reality products broaden the scope beyond traditional consumer electronics. DJI and other companies are exhibiting unmanned aerial technologies, while VR suppliers are showing new forms of immersive interaction.
Smart healthcare receives its first dedicated area
One of the most significant additions is a smart healthcare and wellness zone covering more than 10,000 square metres. It is the first time CICE has presented healthcare and elderly-care technologies in a standalone exhibition area.
The displays include AI-assisted health screening, smart rehabilitation equipment, mobility aids, robotic massage systems, exoskeleton training equipment and connected elderly-care solutions.
For buyers and distributors, the zone provides a concentrated look at how consumer electronics companies are entering healthcare, rehabilitation and ageing-related markets. Products are presented in simulated home and care environments, making it easier to assess their intended applications rather than viewing them only as isolated devices.
China Daily’s Invest in China platform identifies smart homes, smart healthcare and artificial intelligence as the exhibition’s three principal industry chains.
Product launches and buyer matchmaking support trade
CICE 2026 places a strong emphasis on new-product premieres. Haier is introducing products that include an AI-powered sports exoskeleton and a cooking robot, while Hisense is presenting its Moii companion-robot range for education, elderly care and household companionship.
Aucma is launching an AI service robot and an intelligent kitchen system. Canon is displaying a newly released full-frame mirrorless camera from its EOS V series, while Nio, IM Motors and Denza are among the new-energy vehicle brands presenting recent models.
The exhibition’s commercial programme follows an “exhibition, conference, competition and matchmaking” model. More than 20 concurrent activities cover technical exchange, product demonstrations, business negotiations and interactive experiences.
International buyer outreach includes procurement groups from Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and Belt and Road markets. The organizer is also operating an online supply-and-demand platform intended to match exhibitor product information with buyer requirements.
Visiting CICE 2026 in Qingdao
CICE is hosted by the People’s Government of Shandong Province and jointly organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the Qingdao Municipal People’s Government. The event has completed 22 previous editions.
The Qingdao municipal government confirms that the 2026 exhibition runs through September 6 at the Hongdao venue.
Visitors can access registration through the official CICE website. The organizer uses real-name preregistration, and visitors should retain their electronic admission QR code and bring the identification document used during registration.
