More than 500 cleaning brands expected in Shanghai

China Clean Expo 2027 will cover cleaning products and technologies used in hotels, hospitals, schools, factories, offices, shopping centres, transport facilities, municipal services and other commercial or public environments.

The official exhibition overview lists product categories including:

  • Cleaning machinery and accessories
  • Cleaning tools and chemical agents
  • Restroom and hygiene supplies
  • Indoor-air purification
  • Facility maintenance and management
  • Smart cleaning systems
  • Commercial laundry equipment
  • Environmental and municipal sanitation products

The organiser’s forecast of more than 500 participating brands follows a similar scale at the previous edition. According to the CCE 2026 post-show report, more than 500 cleaning-sector exhibitors participated in 2026.

The wider co-located Hotel & Shop Plus 2026 platform recorded 135,682 trade visits across 210,000 square metres, according to the current CCE exhibition overview. That visitor total covers the complete Hotel & Shop Plus platform and should not be interpreted as attendance at China Clean Expo alone.

Over 50 cleaning-robot brands target commercial facilities

Automation will be one of the leading themes at the Shanghai cleaning exhibition.

The organiser expects more than 50 cleaning-robot brands to participate, following more than 40 robotics brands at the 2026 edition. Companies named in the 2027 announcement include Pudu, Gausium, ECOVACS, Rosiwit, Udeer, Wimsha Robot and Viggo.

Products are expected to include autonomous floor scrubbers, vacuuming robots, sweeping machines and multifunctional equipment for large commercial facilities.

Potential applications include:

  • Airports and railway stations
  • Shopping centres and department stores
  • Hospitals and healthcare facilities
  • Hotels and resorts
  • Warehouses and factories
  • Offices and public buildings
  • Schools and universities

Cleaning robots are generally intended to handle repetitive coverage of large floor areas while allowing employees to concentrate on detailed, irregular or safety-sensitive tasks.

Buyers should examine how well each system operates outside a controlled demonstration area. Relevant questions include navigation in crowded environments, obstacle detection, missed-area rates, battery life, charging arrangements and compatibility with lifts or access-control systems.

Software support is equally important. An autonomous cleaning machine may rely on cloud services, mapping software, mobile applications and remote fleet-management platforms. Buyers should therefore investigate cybersecurity, software-update policies, data storage and continued system availability.

Local maintenance, replacement parts and technician training may ultimately be more important than a small difference in purchase price.

Drone cleaning targets high-rise and exterior maintenance

More than 10 drone-cleaning system brands are expected at CCE 2027.

These systems are being developed for façades, windows, roofs and other elevated surfaces that would traditionally require scaffolding, lifting equipment or employees working at height.

Drone cleaning could be relevant to property-management companies, industrial facilities, high-rise contractors and operators of large commercial buildings. However, its practical use depends on more than the aircraft itself.

Buyers should consider:

  • Local flight and operating restrictions
  • Building access and safety procedures
  • Weather and wind limitations
  • Operator training requirements
  • Insurance and liability
  • Water or cleaning-agent delivery
  • Surface compatibility
  • Overspray and wastewater control
  • Cleaning quality at different heights

A successful demonstration does not automatically confirm that a system can be deployed legally or efficiently at a specific building. Buyers should request completed project examples and determine what permits, equipment and trained personnel are required.

Conventional cleaning equipment remains important

CCE 2027 will combine robotics and drone technology with established cleaning machinery, hygiene products, chemical agents and facility-maintenance systems.

Brands identified by the organiser include Nilfisk, Rubbermaid, ICE, Hawk, Mazzoni, Klenco, AR, Bennet, Baiyun and Chaobao.

This should allow buyers to compare autonomous equipment with conventional ride-on machines, walk-behind machines, high-pressure systems and manual cleaning tools.

Automation will not be the best choice for every environment. Conventional equipment may remain more economical in smaller properties, frequently changing spaces or facilities where cleaning tasks require continuous human judgment.

For many operators, the most effective approach may be a mixed fleet in which autonomous systems cover predictable floor areas while employees manage detailed work, sanitation checks and unexpected situations.

Smart Cleaning Zone focuses on AI and connected systems

The dedicated Smart Cleaning Zone will present autonomous machines, AI-supported equipment, Internet of Things systems and digital facility-management platforms.

Other specialist areas include the Municipal Sanitation Zone and Restroom Facility Zone.

The Municipal Sanitation Zone will cover public-space cleaning, environmental maintenance, sanitation vehicles and resource-recovery solutions. The Restroom Facility Zone will include touchless dispensers, hygiene products, odour-control systems, fixtures and commercial washroom equipment.

These zones can help buyers compare products by application rather than moving between unrelated sections of the exhibition.

Global Xchange Hub connects overseas buyers with suppliers

The Global Xchange Hub will return as CCE’s dedicated international area.

According to the organiser, it will feature English-language presentations, innovation showcases and curated business-matching sessions. The objective is to connect international cleaning professionals with export-oriented Chinese manufacturers and global brands.

A separate Business Matchmaking Area is also planned for meetings between overseas buyers and selected exhibitors.

International buyers should provide specific requirements when requesting matchmaking, including:

  • Target product category
  • Intended application
  • Destination market
  • Required certifications
  • Expected order volume
  • Preferred price range
  • Customisation needs
  • After-sales requirements

This information can help organisers identify more relevant exhibitors and reduce time spent in unsuitable meetings.

Buyers should still conduct their own verification after the exhibition. Business matching provides introductions but does not replace factory checks, sample testing, certification verification or contractual due diligence.

Forums cover cleaning, sanitation and property operations

China Clean Expo 2027 will host professional forums examining smart cleaning, commercial laundry, healthcare logistics, property operations, municipal sanitation and indoor environments.

Cleaning-skills competitions will demonstrate professional methods and equipment in practical settings. The Golden Diamond Awards will recognise selected brands and products.

The detailed conference programme and confirmed speaker list are expected to be released closer to the event. Buyers should check the official programme before arranging their exhibition schedule.

CCE is co-located with Hotel & Shop Plus Shanghai

China Clean Expo is held as a specialist exhibition within the wider Hotel & Shop Plus Shanghai platform, which covers hospitality design, commercial properties, building systems and facility operations.

The co-location gives cleaning suppliers access to hotel operators, property developers, facility managers, retail groups, designers and procurement teams.

Visitors involved in hotel or commercial-building projects can also attend Hotel & Shop Plus Shanghai 2027 on the same dates at SNIEC.

This makes it possible to compare cleaning equipment with flooring, laundry machinery, sanitary products, service robots, smart-building systems and other commercial-property solutions during one visit.
