China International Big Data Expo 2026 Opens in Guiyang With 300+ Exhibitors

China International Big Data Industry Expo 2026

The 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo officially opened on August 28 in Guiyang, the capital of southwest China’s Guizhou Province. The expo has become a key platform for technological exchange, industrial collaboration, and innovation in the global big data sector. This year’s theme, “Token: A New Path to Value of Data Elements,” reflects a focus on unlocking the economic potential of data.

The event is structured around five core sections: computing power infrastructure, data supply, model-driven development, security assurance, and intelligent experience. More than 300 exhibitors from China and abroad are showcasing products and services in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data security, and digital applications. The expo aims to connect upstream and downstream industrial resources through targeted matchmaking sessions with four industrial parks, while also partnering with over 30 overseas enterprises for cross-border exchanges and cooperation.

Guiyang’s Digital Economy and Computing Power Leadership

As the permanent host city, Guiyang and the adjacent Gui’an New Area have been at the forefront of China’s digital economy development. The region now hosts 26 large-scale data centers, with total computing power capacity exceeding 174 EFLOPS. Notably, intelligent computing accounts for over 98% of this capacity, and the average Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of local data centers is a low 1.19, demonstrating efficient and green operations. The software and information technology services industry in the area has surpassed 100 billion yuan in revenue, marking a significant milestone in the growth of China’s digital infrastructure.

The expo underscores Guizhou’s role as a national hub for big data, attracting investment and fostering innovation in key areas such as data centers, cloud computing, and AI. The event is expected to drive further international cooperation and business expansion in the big data sector, solidifying Guiyang’s position as a global digital industry leader.
