SIAL Guangzhou 2026 Connects Global Food Suppliers with South China and ASEAN Buyers

SIAL West Asia Exhibition

SIAL Guangzhou 2026 opened on September 3 at the Poly World Trade Center Expo, bringing more than 1,500 food and beverage exhibitors to one of Southern China’s largest international sourcing events.

Running through September 5, the exhibition occupies 60,000 square metres and features suppliers and industry participants from more than 50 countries and regions. Organizers expect over 65,000 food and beverage professionals during the three-day event, according to the official SIAL Guangzhou show guide.

International buyers can find practical event information, sourcing highlights and visitor services on the ChinaExpoHub event page for SIAL Guangzhou 2026.

International Pavilions Bring Global Products to Guangzhou

The exhibition’s international presence spans Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and Oceania. Country and regional pavilions are presenting products adapted to China’s retail, foodservice and distribution markets.

Thailand is showcasing tropical dried fruits, seasonings and reduced-sugar products, while Georgia’s pavilion focuses on wines and specialty beverages. Jordanian exhibitors are promoting agricultural products, confectionery and artisanal goods, and Vietnamese companies are presenting instant noodles and other packaged foods through product demonstrations and tastings.

Further participation comes from Malaysia, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Cyprus, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Independent exhibitors represent markets including South Korea, the United States, Ecuador, Pakistan, Spain, Japan and Germany.

For importers and distributors, the pavilion format makes it possible to compare products, pricing, packaging and supply capabilities from several markets during one sourcing visit. The official SIAL Guangzhou exhibitor directory provides searchable information on participating companies, products and booth locations.

Fourteen Zones Cover Major Food and Beverage Categories

SIAL Guangzhou features 14 specialized exhibition zones covering a broad range of consumer and foodservice products. Key categories include:

  • Imported food and beverages
  • Snacks and confectionery
  • Dairy products
  • Meat, seafood and fresh produce
  • Premium beverages
  • Seasonings and ingredients
  • Bakery products
  • Organic and health-focused foods
  • Halal products
  • Catering and hospitality supply chains

The category-based layout is intended to help supermarkets, wholesalers, distributors, restaurant groups, e-commerce platforms and cross-border traders identify relevant suppliers more efficiently.

The exhibition is restricted to industry professionals. International visitors are accepted, with English-language assistance and on-site badge services available. Online registration is free for eligible trade visitors, according to the organizer’s official visitor information and FAQ.

Match Me Service Connects Buyers with Suppliers

A central business feature of the exhibition is the upgraded Match Me sourcing service, which uses buyer profiles and procurement requirements to identify potentially suitable exhibitors before meetings take place.

The system is designed to reduce the time buyers spend searching the exhibition floor and increase the number of relevant supplier discussions completed during the show. It is supported by an AI-enabled exhibition assistant and point-to-point venue navigation.

Opening-day activity showed demand across several categories. Vietnamese instant noodles attracted interest from supermarket and e-commerce buyers, Jordanian chocolates appealed to premium purchasers, and Georgian wines generated discussions with prospective distributors, according to the original event report.

For international buyers, these matchmaking tools can be particularly useful when evaluating unfamiliar suppliers. Meetings can concentrate on commercial issues such as minimum order quantities, certifications, private-label production, export experience, packaging requirements and regional distribution rights.

Guangzhou Connects the Greater Bay Area with ASEAN

SIAL Guangzhou is positioned as a gateway to the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and the consumer and distribution markets of Southern China.

Guangzhou’s established wholesale, retail, cold-chain and logistics networks make the city a practical entry point for overseas food brands seeking Chinese importers and distributors. The location also supports Chinese manufacturers looking for buyers and partners across ASEAN and other Asian markets.

The event forms part of SIAL’s two-city strategy in China. While the Shanghai edition provides broad access to national and international markets, Guangzhou places greater emphasis on Southern China, the Greater Bay Area and Southeast Asia. The official SIAL Guangzhou overview describes the event as a platform for supplier sourcing, distribution development and cross-border food trade.

The next SIAL in China exhibition is scheduled for May 18–20, 2027, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, providing buyers with another opportunity to meet food and beverage suppliers from China and international markets.
